Apply to Sixth Form

We have capacity for 240 students in the Sixth Form. This includes capacity for 120 students in Year 12. Candidates must secure at least 5 grade 6 GCSEs, including at least a grade 5 in Maths and English Language or Literature. There are also subject specific guidelines which can be found here. 

We will consider applications from students who have previously attended other sixth form providers and are above the traditional age of joining a sixth form e.g. should have been starting Year 13 but wish to restart. Cases will be considered on an individual basis.

Please note applicants will be unable to join Year 12 and retake subjects that they have previously studied. 

1. Confirmation of Application
   The application process runs from October to February half-term. Once you have submitted an application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. 
   
   
2. Confirmation of Interview
   All students who apply to us will be offered an interview. If you are a current student at Marylebone Academy, you will not need an interview. 
   
   
3. Sixth Form Interview
   These happen in March and April. 
   Once your interview has taken place, we will let you know if you have been offered a conditional place. This is on the condition that you meet the entry requirements on GCSE results day. 
   
   
4. Sixth Form Taster Day
   We have a Sixth Form Taster Day once GCSEs are finished. If you have received a conditional offer, you will be invited and we strongly recommend you attend to experience sixth form life. 
   
   
5. GCSE Results Day 
   You must make sure you enrol with us when you receive your GCSE results. You will need to attend the Sixth Form in person.
